MOTHERHOOD AS A SYMBOL OF POWER

Mother worship gave Man scope to ill treat the other women in the social system. All agencies of power operated through the autocracy of the Mother who was operated by the patriarchal system. Hence the Mother began to represent patriarchal values which refused any type of participative management in the family system.  Society used a female member to control the other females in itself.
The man who celebrated his mother was completely rid of all other responsibilities and was guilt-free.  His construction of personal self and social self was imperious, autocratic and completely devoid of self-criticism that helped him look at himself as a benefactor of social values - a good man.
He was free to practice polygamy either legally or  illegally. In the age of electronic images, he negotiated with end number of female bodies as he had his self-construction intact with his worship of the Mother.All other women become just bodies to him that had to serve his ego, give him pleasure and soothe his tiredness. Onslaught of the strange woman's body did not bring in any conflicts, as he did not identify it with his mother's body. The mother became an abstract symbol of power who defined his duties, and he fell to her power, and all his other actions came to be justified as Right. The violence thrashed at women is not controlled by mother power, as the mother looks at fellow women's bodies as an area that has to be conquered.
